Expand gives you the opportunity to not just look up a word’s definition but to actually retain it. So many other vocabulary apps walk you through the motions and may even have you save words but they don’t quiz you or help you utilize them in your life. Expand takes the words you’ve “collected”, quizzes you based on a retention algorithm and keeps you updated on what words you’ve mastered or need to work on. The layout of the app is also simple and tasteful with no fluff so it’s easy to navigate. I would HIGHLY recommend this to any person looking to actually learn new words. Like I said in the subject, I didn’t think it was something I needed in my life until now and I’m so glad I downloaded it.
