Sense4FIT is a Web 3 "FIT to EARN" Lifestyle ecosystem that delivers an online concept through a semi-decentralized app, which includes fitness, nutrition, personal development and mindfulness, that will further develop in a hybrid concept with offline sports events, bootcamps and competitions.
Sense4FIT is built on the Elrond blockchain with game-fi elements that has the goal of helping people to become better versions of themselves and get rewarded while achieving their goals. The Social-Fi and Game-Fi elements help people be more engaged with their lifestyle objectives, while bringing the sports community together.
The app uses blockchain technology (NFTs) and blockchain authorization methods (Maiar Wallet) in order to determine the user identity within the anti-cheat system needed in order to allocate rewards for their fitness activity. This app version is using the Elrond's devnet which means there is no real money involved.
There is no paid content in the app. All users within our physical gym ecosystem are granted access to the app as a premium feature allowing them to pursue their fitness objectives outside the gyms, by tracking their progress, providing personalized nutrition plans, personalized workouts and staying in touch with their coach, while also engaging with other users in challenges.
As we’ve realized, our customers have very busy schedules and end up not being able to show up at the gym plus the post pandemic tendency of working out in the comfort of their home, we aim to increase our user retention, by staying close to them online.
Main features include:

- Challenges: single mode and group mode in order to encourage workouts even outside the gyms
- Gamification to increase engagement and to make the journey fun
- Avatar ranking based on workout consistency and anti-cheat system (using 3rd party fitness trackers like Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Polar)
- Leaderboards to increase engagement and competitiveness
- Personalized nutrition plans
- Coach on demand for receiving feedback while working out outside the gyms
Anti-Cheat and Rewards Distribution System:
- Sense4FIT motivates people to be or become fit by allowing them to participate in different challenges and become eligible to claim rewards based on their performance. There are 3 types of challenges: 30, 45 and 60 minutes challenges. Each challenge has minimum performance metrics for rewards eligibility. In this app version, we introduced a 1 minute Test Challenge which requires users to have the AveragePulse at least 1 BPM and the Active Calories count at least 1. Users can participate in these challenges from the Home Screen, by pressing on "Challenges" button and following the natural UX flow.
- Users can choose either to do their own workout or to select one from our content library. Once they select a workout, we require them to connect a fitness tracking device (in this app version we integrated only with Apple HealthKit) before starting the challenge. In order to avoid the situation where the user does the challenge, but forgets to connect with a fitness device and not be eligible to claim their rewards, we ask users to give us permission to init the HealthKit before the challenge starts. This will only initialize the HealthKit, but is not reading any data yet. Once the user finishes the challenge, Sense4FIT app will read the health data only from the challenge's timeframe using the Apple HealthKit. We analize the Average Pulse and the number of Active calories and if the user's data is better than the minimum challenge's performance metrics, the user is able to claim their rewards.
- Sense4FIT is using HealthKit to read and import users' activities data and is not storing any health information about the user nor associates the health data with its users. HealthKit's data is read only for determining the eligibility for rewards.
