Monthly analysis of new car registrations in Germany based on passenger car registrations collected and offered online by KBA the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt. The KBA central vehicle register stores the vehicle and owner data of all vehicles with registration plates transmitted by the local registration authorities.

Every month, KBA publishes press releases reporting new passenger car 'PC Registrations' in Germany. Source: kba.de

The following categories are displayed for analysis:
● All registration by Brand or by Model
● Number of diesel powered vehicles
● Number of hybrid powered vehicles
● Number of electric powered vehicles

The following metrics per brand are displayed:
● Ranking by new registration numbers
● Market share as percentage in Germany

The user can set a monthly or year-to-date view and navigate
through a maximum of 60 historical months or 5 years.

Monthly data update

The processing and updating of the data for the application takes place shortly after the monthly publication by KBA.
