About Find Halal food, Scanner Haram
This TagHalal app will help you identify preservatives, colorings, or food chemical additives to see if they are Halal (حلال), Haram (حرام), or Mushbooh (مشبوه) (doubtful or Makrouh). It is an important app for all Muslims concerned about what they eat.
Use the image scanner of TagHalal to quickly identify (in seconds) those products that you should avoid (aim the camera well at the ingredients part of the product).
In addition, you will be able to know if these preservatives, colorants, or chemical additives are allowed by the most recognized authorities in the world of food, such as the European Union, the United States, and Australia.
Our aim is to help Muslims not to worry about whether a product contains any Haram additives. Sometimes supermarket products contain preservatives, dyes, or chemical food additives that can be marked with different names or E-codes (for example, E120, which is Haram as it comes from an insect). It is difficult for a Muslim to know all these names by heart. With TagHalal, you will not have to worry, as it identifies almost all the names of existing preservatives, colorants, or chemical additives and shows them to you in a very simple way.
You will also discover which products are Makrouh (مكروه) thanks to the scanning of the E-code or E-numbers.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
» Flexible search engine:
You can search by E-code or E-Number of preservatives, colorants, or chemical additives and also by the name of the additive.
» Identify the additives in the product:
Look for the ingredients part of the product, and in a few seconds, the E-code or E-number scanner will find what types of Halal or Haram (حلال او حرام) additives it contains.
» Halal Image Scan:
Use image scanning to identify if the product is Halal or Haram (حلال او حرام). The algorithm identifies the E-codes, E-numbers, or names of additives.
» Assessment of each additive or scanned product:
You can assess whether a preservative, colorant, or chemical additive is considered Halal or Haram (حلال او حرام). This action helps not only us but also Muslims around the world. You can also rate the result of the scan, and it will be analyzed by our team. Your opinion matters to us because we are continually striving to help all Muslims worldwide.
» Toxicity level:
Consult which additives are toxic or healthy for your health. You can know the level of toxicity of each additive.
» Indication of authorizations by food associations:
For each additive, you will be able to know if it is allowed by the authorities of Europe, the United States, or Australia.
» Save your history:
All the products you scan will be saved so that you can refer to them again or share them with your loved ones. With one click, you can inform them whether the products are Halal (حلال), Haram (حرام), or Makruh (مكروه), and advise them to avoid products that are not Halal.
What is Zabihah or Dhabīḥah?
Animals like cows, sheep, chickens, etc., are Halal, but they must be Zabihah (ذَبِيْحَة) (slaughtered according to Islamic rites for Muslims) to be fit for consumption. Some chemical additives are not Halal (حلال) because they come from animals that are not Zabihah or Dhabīḥah (ذَبِيْحَة), and thus they are Haram for the Muslim who consumes them. To ensure that a product containing animal remains is Dhabīḥah (ذَبِيْحَة), you need to ensure that it is stamped by a trusted Muslim organization.
This app will not tell you whether a product is Zabihah or not, but it will inform you if the additive contains animal remains, and you, based on whether you are in a Muslim country, will know if it is Halal or Mushbooh.

Paywall
Before the new update the apps was tolerable with ads, now with the new update everything is hidden behind a paywall, the greed is crazy coming from the muslim ummah this is purely taking advantage of us muslim brothers and sisters. I used to look at the ingredients and specifics before and now its just full of ads and greed and everything is stuck behind a paywall i DO not recommend this app anymore.

Premium subscription but not getting the benefits?!
I paid for the premium subscription which should come with unlimited scans but I get an error message that says I’ve run out of scans and should upgrade to premium….? See photo. If this gets fixed I’d change my review, it’s a helpful app but I need to be able to scan more than 5 things every 11 hours… Edit: developer contacted me and asked for images of the error. No response when I sent it. No change. I’ve paid for a product I’m not receiving. Can still only scan 5 items before being locked out for 10 hours, which is supposed to be solved when you PAY FOR PREMIUM. Going on 10 days paying for something I’m not receiving. Edit: No follow up or response from developer after another 5 days. DO NOT PAY FOR PREMIUM, it’s a scam at this point unless the developer actually does something in the next week I will be taking the next steps to notify Apple.
