Arranji yukurnukku jinta! is the Warumungu version of the internationally recognisied Feed the Monster** early literacy game. Arranji yukurnukku jinta! is a fun, offline game that provides learners of all ages - especially children - with a multi sensory and interactive way to explore the fundamentals of reading in Warumungu. Players will develop knowledge of Warumungu letters and sounds, and will use these skills to spell a number of common Warumungu words. All through the journey, players will watch their monsters grow and mature.
Arranji yukurnukku jinta! was developed by Papulu Apparr-Kari Aboriginal Corporation with funding support from the Indigenous Language and Arts program of the Australian Government, and with the assistance of the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and the Living First Language Platform.
