Our Story
Mike’s Dive Store was founded over 30 years ago by the late Mike Calder, a larger-than-life figure in the UK diving community. Mike built his reputation by putting divers first, taking the time to understand their needs and supplying the right equipment—not simply shifting boxes. His approach proved so successful that divers travelled from across the UK to seek his advice.
Following Mike’s passing in 2009, the store was acquired by Scuba Steve, a highly experienced diver who began his underwater journey in the Red Sea in the late 1980s and went on to explore some of the world’s most demanding dive environments. Mike’s son chose Steve to continue the business because he shared the same passion, integrity and commitment to service that defined Mike’s legacy.
Today, Mike’s Dive Store remains true to those founding principles. We are not about hard sales—we are about long-term relationships, expert guidance and equipping divers properly for safe, enjoyable adventures.
