Not for Tourists with EVs
While visiting NZ from the US, I spent 30 minutes trying to get the app set up so I could charge my EV. Every attempt to add a credit card to the account resulted in a generic error about not being able to add the card. Eventually my account was suspended and when I called customer support, they said their app won’t take over seas credit cards. When I asked if there was some other way I could I could pay (such as going to the counter), they said no. What a waste of time. If you require a domestic credit card, say so in the error message and other signage so tourists don’t waste their time doing business with you.
