Merida has a much better app

For starters, a bus app should say what time the routes begin in the morning and end at night. This app doesn’t. For that reason a driver just told me that my connection van has stopped running before 9pm, stranding me at a terminal. How truly pathetic. I paid 200 pesos recharge in the app and it just says to visit the validator. Apparently that’s the bus card reader, but after 5 rides my 200 is still pending. Querétaro should not waste money on this junk, it should just buy Méridas far better app. Méridas routes also show perfectly on Google Maps while QRO is lousy on Google. This is a mess.

Unstable, unreliable, missing features

You need a local phone number. So, if you’re a traveler you’re out of luck. If you manage to log in with a friend’s number be prepared to be disappointed. The app regularly crashes. The bus card balance doesn’t update properly. The location of the buses on the map is delayed and often incorrect. You cannot search which bus to take to reach a specific address. You can only search well known destinations or points of interest. Beware that if you use Google Maps, the bus route numbers have changed and you’ll have to verify the updated number. Aside from the app the buses crash often and the drivers aren’t considerate of their passengers when accelerating, stopping or turning. The “free” wifi on the buses does work at all, don’t even try. If you don’t wave at the bus, they will not stop. Good luck seeing the route number before they speed past the stop. Necesitas un número de teléfono local. Buena suerte viendo el número de ruta antes de que pasen a toda velocidad por la parada.
