About Epipal: Seizure Alerts & Log
SAFETY AND PEACE OF MIND WITH CUSTOMIZABLE SEIZURE DETECTION
Epipal is the ultimate epilepsy tracker and seizure safety companion. Epipal runs in the background and monitors sensors in your loved one’s phone and/or watch and attempts to detect convulsions associated with tonic clonic seizures, and different types of falls. When an emergency situation is suspected, an alarm is triggered, and if not disarmed within a preset time, an alert notification is automatically sent to members of your emergency contacts. Epipal uses a combination of motion related sensors as well as API integration with Apple's Health App to gather heart rate data to monitor for different types of seizures.
CONFIDENCE WITH SHARED MEDICATION REMINDERS
Use Epipal to get shared medicine reminders. As a team you and your family can stay on top of your medications and monitor and log if they have been taken. Over time, Epipal will help you understand how effective different medicines are for you.
MANAGE EPILEPSY WITH A COLLABORATIVE JOURNAL
A shared journal allows you to log seizures and events. Anyone in the Epipal family circle can add events to this shared journal, or add triggers or details to a logged event, making for an easy and collaborative seizure diary process.
CONNECTION WITH EMERGENCY BUTTON
An emergency button is provided so with two simple taps your loved one can send an alert to the entire Epipal family circle.

ZERO SUPPORT!
I have been trying for 2 months to contact them for support with no luck. I have spoken with the Epilepsy Foundation as well since this is their recommended app. And by the way, I had a seizure while wearing my watch with the app active with no alarm.

Doesn’t work
Don’t waste your money if you have local convulsions. It doesn’t work with arm clenching and rapid shakes. Maybe it works with a full body convulsion, and/or fall, but didn’t work for my son when his hand clenches and arm shakes while sleeping. Didn’t pick up heart rate increase either. Nothing went off, no alert. Good thing he sleeps with us. Still haven’t found a device to help with ESES-CSWS / DEE-SWAS seizures
