The Resident Growth Chart (RGC) was developed to provide resident physicians with a visual trajectory of their growth towards proficiency. The RGC is an over-arching, holistic feedback tool that represents the faculty’s shared mental of growth over time.
The RGC app features:
-Point-of-care feedback for residents that translates to plotting on competency charts (visible in browser).
-Resident self-reflection on
-Real-time transmission of feedback from faculty to resident.
-Collection of all feedback a resident is given.
-Chronicling of work history between faculty and residents, including previous work history.
-Faculty-to-faculty handoff regarding resident needs
The Resident Growth Chart site features:
-Custom creation of competency charts to promote shared mental model of faculty.
-Mapping to the ACGME Milestones AND their levels, with intuitive user interface.
-Competency charts with plot points aggregated by faculty using the RGC App for Residents and program leadership to view.
-Expected growth curve and points, plotted next to feedback plot points on all charts.
-Clinical competency module to plot assessments on charts based on CCC meetings.
