UPDATE: Bad practices in play. I paid for Perplexity Pro annual plan and now they're putting a limitation on how many uploads and deep-research queries you can perform a month. This is/was an app I used to do research regularly. The one thing that separates it from the rest of paid AIs (I have most of them) is its focus on deep researching capabilities. I won't be renewing. ★★★★★ Perplexity is phenomenal for research—fast, clean, and consistently useful. Two big requests: please add more masculine, bass-heavy Black American voices (and more bass-forward voices overall), and bring back richer suggested follow-up topics at the end of results like earlier versions—those suggestions made deep dives way easier. Also, put the Listen button at the top AND bottom of long answers, and consider highlight + auto-scroll during playback so the voice stays aligned with the text.
