Content is great- app not so much

So I am a subscriber and I love the SFBJ. Writing is amazing. Content is amazing. I get a daily email of top stories. When I clock lie on the story links it takes me to the web site and then asks me to log in to open the article. WHAT? Where is the click through link for the app. What is the point here?? Then I go to the app directly to look for the article, but guess what, they usually don't publish the same breaking news articles they just emailed me in the app and certainly not anywhere readily accessible when they sometimes do. This all leads me to believe that there are separate divisions and teams working here and not coordinating their efforts. Breaking news contained in the email blasts should be immediately available on the app in a prominent position. AND the breaking news emails should click through to open the app when clicked instead of asking me if I want to subscribe (again) or log in (no thanks- that's why I have the app). I guess the teams at SFBJ running the tech side don't actuall read the SFBJ. Oh well....
