About Sanshin
Okinawa is beautiful islands located on the end of the southwest of Japan.
The Sanshin is indispensable to life of people in Okinawa with traditional "Shima-Uta" that means song of islands.
The Sanshin looks like the shamisen that is the tradition musical instrument of Japan similarly. But, the performance method of the Sanshin is farther simpler than the Shamisen, and is friendly musical instrument.
In this application, proper finger positions will be displayed on the screen with Kanji.
These also correspond to scores that is called "Kun-Kun-Shi" written in Kanji.
We hope you will enjoy playing the Sanshin
even if you have not played a Sanshin.
Please try and enjoy it!

Better than expected!
Without a doubt the best $1.99 sanshin available! Honchoshi, sansage, niage, ichiniage, it's all there, in whatever key you want. I tried the other i-sanshin out there and was disappointed, this one did not particularly impress me until I figured out how to get it in chromatic mode. Chromatic mode allows you to play any note you want, instead of the auto setting where the app guesses what note you intended on playing. Sound quality is great for the price, some keys do sound a little synthed, while others sound fine. I find this instrument very playable and suitable for practice and fun. Its a super value when you consider the price of buying a new sanshin, and all that this app offers!

Mediocre Sound Quality
I was so excited to finally find the Sanshin (Okinawa Guitar) for the iphone\itouch. With my passion and love for Okinawa and music, I immediately downloaded it. After playing with it for a while, I was disappointed in the sound quality of the different pitch classes. It sounds rather electronic and computer generated at times. I was hoping for more authentic sounding notes. I also with there were a couple songs built in that you could play along with. I look forward to updates to this app that will improve the sound quality and add more features that help one get started to play some Okinawa songs.
