Too hard to set up
I really wanted to use this app as a traveler, so I got a Lao SIM card, but it still will not send a verification code to either my Lao number or my US number. Meanwhile, it took two seconds to sign up with Loca. I’m sure I could solve the problem with Kokkok if I wanted to spend still more time on it, but I’ve given up.

Get a Lao SIM card, recommend one from Lao Telecom booth from the airport. Download app and use KOKKOK it’s one of the best way to move around in Vientiane. It’s also probably the cheapest way. You’ll know the price you’ll pay for each ride beforehand. The fare is set by the app. We used it everyday while in Vientiane and highly recommend it vs taxi or tuktuk. No more being scammed and haggling with drivers and having them being mad when you refused to accept their fare/ride. Cons: I noticed drivers tends to ignore rides fare that are less than 20,000kip.
