"The Artbeat of New India is the biggest art programme in the country installed in Mumbai airport’s Terminal 2. It pays homage to India’s incredible diversity, spanning the wide spectrum of art, craft and design that is the soul of the country.
About 100 artists came together with some 1,000 artisans from 20 states to put up these traditional and contemporary works of art in various parts of the terminal. Approximately 5,500 exquisite ethnographic objects, some of them 200 years old, were sourced exclusively for the programme. Listen to lesser-known stories of how these installations were conceptualized and executed.
We have also hosted more than 60 other tours on the app from across nine cities of India covering well-known museums and monuments or lesser-known gullies and mohallas as well as themes like cricket, sports, food, etc. If you are in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Aurangabad, Jaipur, Varanasi, Leh, Bangalore or Chennai do tune in. Some of these tours are free to use while you may make an in-app payment for the others. For more info please check FAQs on the app in the Help menu.
We hope you enjoy the app as much as we enjoyed making it!
