About Get Moving! Healthy Reminders
Sitting too long isn’t great for your body or your mind—and we all do it. That’s where Get Moving comes in. This free app helps you break up long periods of sitting with quick, energizing movement throughout your day.
At regular intervals, Get Moving sends a gentle notification reminding you to take a break. But it doesn’t stop there: each prompt offers you two activity choices—like a short walk or a set of push-ups—so you stay engaged and avoid boredom.
What You Get for Free:
- A wide selection of built-in activities to choose from
- Customize how long or how many repetitions you want to do
- Set flexible ranges (e.g. 10–20 lunges) for varied prompts
- Track your Daily Goals to see your progress toward a target like 100 squats or 50 push-ups each day
Want More Flexibility? Go Pro:
- Create your own custom activities
- Set up multiple routines (e.g. one for home, one for office)
- Tailor your day to fit your space, mood, or schedule
Whether you're working from home, at a desk all day, or just looking to build a healthier routine, Get Moving makes it easy (and fun) to stay active.
Don’t just sit there—Get Moving!

perfect app for customizing specific targets
This is a perfect movement reminder for me. I’m disabled and I need to work on specific muscles throughout the day. The ease of customization was crucial. Just a fundamental app without silly bells and whistles. Developer is a good guy too.

Questions
Is there a way to have a sound play when the activity is finished? And does the app need to be running all the time in order to work?
