A focused, thoughtful, original take on a task organizer
With most apps in this domain, the top-level items are tasks, and tasks have (optional) due dates. With Finalist, the top-level items are days, and days have tasks and events. This might sound like I’m splitting semantic hairs but it gives Finalist a very different feel, one that’s more natural to me. I’m kind of blown away by how robust and thoughtful Finalist is. It’s not a web app with iOS and Mac clients. It’s a suite of native apps designed with care for Apple’s platforms.

Just started but this makes sense
It’s organized the way I think. I may actually enjoy this.

Immediately Crashes
It seems like this app amalgamates reminders, calendars and lists using a clean notebook-like skin with multi-font headers and styling. It does look like a paper planner, or rather that apotheosis-of-design paper planner with stencil designs and precision layouts common in time management woo-vlogs. The problem is the feature I want to use is paywalled and when I navigate to the Settings option in the UI menu, the app crashes. App Support, dumps me on a marketing page. Navigating to support, I’m invited to create an account and join some Discord so I can open a menu properly in 3-5 business days.

TON of potential!
This app has a ton of potential! It’s beautiful. Its functionality and integration strike a sweet spot for me as a daily driver. One bug I noticed is that I’m unable to permanently delete an empty task — the checkbox is still there, with no task title or text, and yet I can’t remove the “empty” task from my daily task list. It’s not a huge deal, but, visually, it’s giving my OCD fits. Please keep developing this awesome app!!

I recommend you get Finalist.
It does the job. Minor Edit: the Weather option in Settings is absent.
