Bel Canto Serioso is a voice training tool with various vocal exercises. It can also be used for ear training and practicing solfege, chromatic solfege.
For now it has 60+ vocal exercises which can be played in either major or minor tonalities* in any given range and bpm.
*For example; you can play Rossini Scale in major or in harmonic minor, the pentatonic exercises as major pentatonic or minor pentatonic. Triad/arpeggio exercises can be played in 5 qualities; major, minor, suspended, diminished and augmented. Some exercises can also be played in whole tone scale.
Exercises can be filtered by interval span: third, fifth, sixth... or by motion: descending, stepwise, skipwise, agility, glides, diatonic...
Exercise ranges can be set for a given voice classification. Female/Male Advanced section can be used if classified ranges are limiting.
All scales can be played at any tempo between 45 and 260 bpm.
Exercises can be bookmarked for quicker reference.
The playing note of the scale is shown as text; Bb4 (or Sib4 or Te4).
In the settings you can set the solfege system to be used within the app.
Solfege system choices are, English, Italian and Chromatic Solfege. The app will then display all note names in the chosen solfege system.
There are two player modes;
- Auto mode plays the exercises in a given range as usual.
- In Manual mode the pattern/scale of the exercise can be advanced higher or lower manually. This is similar to practicing with an instrument, like playing
a scale more than a few times at a problematic zone in your range ad advancing when done.
