About SEPTA OnDemand
SEPTA Access is a Paratransit Service dedicated to providing exceptional transportation for our ADA and Senior Communities throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. SEPTA Access mission is to uphold and provide safe and reliable transportation for all of our customers. Access services are provided by contract carriers who provide rides to customers, train their drivers, and maintain vehicles. SEPTA oversees the carriers, provides centralized driver training, and directly manages the reservation, scheduling, and service monitoring for Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Access is public transportation regulated by state and federal agencies, including the Federal Transportation Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Access is not a taxi service, medical transport, or “special care” service. You should plan on sharing the vehicle with other customers. Vehicles are not equipped with car seats, wheelchairs, or attendants. There is no same-day or emergency service. You cannot choose your driver or vehicle, or specify the route taken by the vehicle.
