GRTC On the Go

Welcome aboard! The GRTC On the Go app is a whole new way to get around the Richmond region — book on-demand rides in advance for LINK microtransit and CARE paratransit services. It’s the smart, easy, and affordable way to go door-to-door in your community.

With a few taps, book an on-demand microtransit or paratransit ride in the app and our technology will pair you with other people headed your way.

How it works:
Download the GRTC On the Go app.
Book a ride on your phone.
Get picked up at your door or designated pickup point.
The app will tell you when your vehicle is on its way.
Share your ride with others to your destination.

What we’re about:
CONNECTED
LINK Microtransit connects you to your community in designated zones and to GRTC fixed routes (where available). CARE paratransit provides public transportation access to individuals with disabilities who may not be reasonably able to use GRTC fixed route bus service.

SHARED
Our origin-to-destination algorithm matches people headed in the same direction. This means you’re getting the convenience and comfort of a private ride with the efficiency, speed, and affordability of a public one.

ACCESSIBLE
All LINK and CARE vehicles are ADA accessible, so everyone can get to their destination with ease.

SUSTAINABLE
Sharing rides reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions. With a couple of taps, you get to do your part to make our city a little bit greener and cleaner, every time you ride.
