It works
It works so well with ABS. AND I CAN DOWNLOAD A BOOK TO MY WATCH AND NOT NEED MY PHONE WITH ME. THIS IS THE MOST FANTASTIC DAY EVER.

Does all the things I need
I love that the app worked right off the bat with my audiobookshelf instance. It just needed a login. And the fact that a few minor features are paywalled behind a very modest one-time purchase fills me with happiness and is restoring my faith in humanity.

More powerful than expected
While I just started using Audiobookshelf and this app, so my listening experience isn’t extensive, I’m very impressed that the app supports custom headers so I can connect with a service token to my Audiobookshelf app behind a CloudFlare Tunnel without anything extra beyond pasting in the auth headers! That alone is worth five stars, thank you!

Been using for a couple weeks.
The app needs restarting a lot. It just won’t be able to play until I force close it then reopen. Maybe the developer could reset the connection or whatever is breaking when the app opens and nothing is playing.

THE Book/Podcast app I needed
TL:DR - Audiobookshelf or Jellyfin user? THIS IS THE Audiobook app you were looking for. LONGER version: Ok, just wow. I’ve been self hosting my audio books for years (seriously over a decade). Jellyfin and now Audiobookshelf. And I discovered this gem (thanks /r/selfhosted!). It’s everything I could want - access (and download!) my media to my phone, iPad and watch. Change the speed (go to preferences to CUSTOMIZE that beyond the preset speeds! 2.3x is my jam.) Download to my watch. MY WATCH. Kids listening to my phone on CarPlay - now I can listen to a podcast or book VIA MY WATCH. My one request? Have it automatically download the books on my home network that I’ve started (or queuing up) automatically. But overall? THIS was the app you were looking for.
