A Simple Two Screen App

Big fan of my Filmomat Lite, so wanted to give this app a try and support a fellow analog shooter. I appreciate the simplicity of the app, but the ergonomics of the sliders (and the lack of labels or even an icon) is kind of awkward. If you don’t have a light pad/table or a way to lay out your negatives this app will struggle, which makes sense. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could, and my only improvements would be a different, condensed slider system at the bottom of the screen, and the ability to save custom presets. I would like a little more granular control of color channels if possible, but I realize this is a quicker ‘Live’ app and not SmartConvert or NLP.

This is amazing. I was skeptical, but just bit the bullet and I’m glad I did. This is such a useful tool to see how the negatives look directly after home developing. Screen recording and cropping the video makes it fun for people to see the BTS on instagram stories. Wish there was a button to focus better, but I could just be missing it.

I was skeptical but.

Ok so I was a bit skeptical about this app and the video as many people are using AI to create videos these days that are too good to be true. That said, I decided to say what the heck and pay the money to try it out. And it does exactly what it does on the video. It even has a setting for Fuji 400h already so all you have to do is choose it and look at your pictures. You do however need a light source that is white to place your negatives on. Something like a light box or you can use your tablet with a white screen and make the screen as bright as you can. I used my iPad Pro and just opened pages to a blank page and set the screen brightness all the way up and it works great. I definitely recommend this app and hope that in the future they don’t sell out and start doing the unmanageable subscription thing. I which Apple would allow screenshots to be uploaded to reviews.
