Good, but needs work

Pocket Beacon makes all the CR stuff available, but does need some work. You can’t download anything for long rides without internet, my app closes randomly at times, and today the video just stopped working. I’ve uninstalled and will re-install, but I think CR should consider putting more money into developing the app that is made for their devoted. If they can produce great games, they can certainly afford a little IT :)

Love the content but the app..

I love that we have a ton of content from the past, also we have the new podcasts, Weird kids and Beacon webcomic. However the can be glitchy and we haven’t had enough exclusive content to keep supporting the “exclusive subscription” Price worth. Now with Daggerheart and Darrington Press there should be more than enough people to add more exclusive shows or continue with the the older shows like “All work and no play”and “4-sided tavern” etc. Edit: Like the new update it makes the app a little of a new layout that is easier to navigate. Honestly every thing has been working better in the past months. I like the new stuff they added for the holiday seasons. I can’t wait to see more for the next year!

Great content, amazing casts, work in progress app

I love Critical Role and this is a great way to get early and behind the scenes content if you like that kind of stuff. However, the app is still a work in progress. I don’t run into a lot of issues BUT one issue that’s on my nerves is that only on mobile, it signs me out any time I’m out of the window! It’s frustrating because since beacon isn’t a TV application yet, I cast to my tv and when I go to play the next episode I have to login again and maybe even restart the app a couple times if it fails to load. Regardless, love watching CR grow and can’t wait for future updates

Love the content. App is awful.

Between getting logged out randomly and frequent playback errors that completely reset the video, the app is nigh unusable. Really disappointed, since I love the content and I want to support them. But I simply cannot justify paying for this terrible platform when there are simply better options.

So much needs fixing

Come on. You’ve gotta fix this. It crashes or just stops streaming despite having a solid connection. Sometimes it just says there’s an error and the only thing you can do is close down the app and restart it and keep your fingers crossed it will remember where you left off. It’s a bad app for a wonderful group of people. I love the show and the people but you’ve gotta see that an app where even the good reviews are saying how bad the app is means you’ve got a bad app. The only reason it has a score over 3 is because of people’s love for you. It has zero to do with the app.
