Photos need work

Besides incorporating Bunk1 functionality for photos and camper notes, this app doesn't offer anything beyond the camp webpage, which is pretty well optimized for the iPhone and works just fine. It feels like the main draw of the app is to access photos and camper notes while camp is in session, and if that's the case, it falls short. The pay-per-bunk note functionality is not well explained in the app-- there are packages with titles but no clear explanation of what you're buying. To figure that out you have to go to Bunk1 directly and have some level of savvy to figure it all out. The photos are similarly confusing. There are priced packages already added to your cart (user beware) but the camp comms say that pictures are free. And lastly, and perhaps the most critical of the functionality issues, is the facial recognition does not work. Some days I got no notifications, one day I got a notification to review 50 photos, and in that 50 only one included my child. There's no way to tag photos yourself, which would teach the AI to improve. You can heart photos but not tag them. The prior vendor that camp used for photos had amazing facial recognition and timely photo delivery, and it was worth the few bucks to upgrade to auto recognize your child. Sadly, this is a downgrade. We love camp, but like our souls, this app needs work.
