Subpar programming
This is one of the worst signings I have seen in a long time. First, you shouldn’t have to sign in and register your device just to use the app while local. The only thing I’m using the app for, is to remotely turn off USB, AC power or the unit itself again, you should not have to register or sign in to do this. This is a complete failure on the developer and manufacture. Why? If you’re using a battery it’s safe to say that you’re probably in an area where you don’t have cell phone service and you shouldn’t have to. Frequently, the app loses your sign in credentials, and makes you sign in again, again, and again. In the past three days. I’ve signed in three times, and use the unit only five times. You see the problem? If you don’t have Internet, you can’t sign it or use the device. This is complete BS. Very poor programming. My guess, they’re probably trying to data harvest something from you by requiring you to sign. Otherwise, it would be obvious not to require sign in to use a device. This needs to be fixed. It makes it completely unusable. Having to sign in every few days. Is getting extremely frustrating. Pretty annoying. Using my Phillips devices, if I don’t have Internet, I can still use them. That’s how it should be.
