About Tempo Interval Timer
Why Tempo
- Minimal taps to start: sets × reps, per-rep duration, optional pauses
- Time-based rounds for HIIT and conditioning
- Advanced tempo support (e.g., 3-1-3-1) with per-phase down/hold/up/pause and choice of starting direction
- Workouts: chain multiple exercises with fixed pauses or manual “Next exercise”
- Circuits: rotate through set 1 of each exercise before set 2, etc.
- Visual progress that mirrors the movement - simple reps use a clean progress bar; advanced tempo traces the lift’s path
- Grid view to track progress across sets and reps at a glance
Perfect for lifters, CrossFit-style circuits, EMOM/AMRAP, HIIT, and anyone who wants a simple, yet capable interval timer

The app is great!!👍🏻 Adding the following would probably elevate the usability of the app much more : - allow the user to set the “get ready” time before starting a workout. A fixed 3sec isn’t always ideal for you to press start, put the phone away and setup the weights or the bar .. allow the user to choose that duration (eg - like how the user can choose the rest period between sets) - play an audio that announces the “up” , “down” and “hold” movements instead of beeps .. in a loud environment it’s hard to distinguish the beep unless you’re staring at the screen through out… also you could hear them through your headphones and keep the phone out of your way - within a workout allow the user to skip an exercise and choose the next one .. and come back to the skipped one later if needed .. and log the completed ones as “done”
