The Potential Is There
I downloaded Along The Waves when it first released, I had been anticipating the release and was excited for the potential connections and community that had been advertised. First of all, the ENTIRE app is hidden behind a paywall. I had not been anticipating this, and was really disappointed there wasn’t even an option to have limited access for free. I signed up for the free trial to peruse and there seems to be a ton of really great resources! However every single time I reached out on a message board I was met with crickets. As a nursing mom, I was looking for some connection during those middle of the night feeds and it seemed like there was no one online. Also there is a feature called “porch light” that you can use to show others you’re available for connecting however it does not actually show when someone is actually online. I think that feature would be great, to show you who is awake when you feel alone the most. Overall the potential is there it just needs some tweaks here and there.

A place for moms to feel less alone
This app is so great. There are many different ways to connect to other moms in the same stage of motherhood. It’s so hard to find a community sometimes and takes so much effort. With this app you know everyone here is looking for community the same way you are and however you show up you will be welcomed!!!
