About OnceWorld

OnceWorld is a simple and casual 2D solo-play RPG.
Relive the charm of classic MMOs from the good old days — now reimagined for mobile with easy controls and deep progression!
Level up, reincarnate, raise pets, awaken equipment, collect materials, and battle in the arena — all in one nostalgic adventure.

It’s an RPG that brings the essence of those mid-2000s MMORPGs to your smartphone, blending nostalgia with modern convenience.

▼ Stat Distribution

Distribute points into seven basic stats to develop your character.
Points are earned as your hero levels up.
To reset your distribution, you’ll need a special item.

Stat meanings:

VIT – Increases HP

SPD – Attack speed & number of strikes

ATK – Physical attack power

INT – Magic attack power & SP capacity

DEF – Mainly physical defense power

M.DEF – Mainly magical defense power

LUK – Evasion & Physical Critical

▼ Weapons & Armor

Equip one weapon and five armor pieces.
Wearing all five pieces of a matching set grants a set bonus.
Use the heart icon at the top-left to toggle your favorite gear display.

▼ Equipment Enhancement

Use materials obtained during your adventures to enhance your gear.
Each enhancement attempt has a success rate — failure consumes the materials, but the item itself will never break.
Some special items can increase success rates.

▼ Accessories

Accessories grant special effects when equipped.
Defeating enemies while an accessory is equipped will level it up, enhancing its effects over time.

▼ Magic

Spend SP to cast powerful spells.
Magic attacks cannot be evaded and there are no critical hits.

Certain rare materials may further amplify spell power.

▼ Monsters & Pets

By carrying a special material, you’ll gain the ability to capture monsters.
Captured monsters become pets that grow stronger as they fight alongside you.
Some monsters learn skills as they level up.
These skills can activate even without being summoned, as long as the monster is accompanying you.

Pet switching can only be done at the Pet Keeper in your hometown.
Feeding specific materials will raise a pet’s stats.

▼ Monster Encyclopedia

Once defeated, monsters are added to the encyclopedia where their stats can be viewed.
Captured monsters will display a “Caught” mark.

▼ Materials

Materials are divided into three categories:

Normal Materials
Used for equipment enhancement and trading.

Effect Materials
Provide passive bonuses simply by owning them.
 Have a smaller carrying limit.

Key Items
 Only one can be held.
 Cannot be dropped or sold.

▼ Items

Items that grant various benefits during adventures.
You can assign them to shortcut slots for quick use in the field.
Swap registered items using the arrow icon beside the item list.

▼ Reincarnation

When your hero reaches the level cap, you can reincarnate.
Reincarnation resets your level but increases your level cap and available stat points, allowing for further growth.

▼ Abyss Corridor

A ranked mode that can be played a limited number of times per day.
Clear each floor by defeating all monsters as fast as possible — faster times rank higher.
Treasure chests appear as rewards on each floor.
Only Save Slot 1 is eligible for ranking participation.

▼ Arena

Watch monster battles.
Watch monster battles held several times a day.
Choose the strongest team from three teams and watch the battle.

Earn Arena Coins if your favorite team wins.
Try exchanging them for valuable materials at the Arena Shop.

▼ About the Kin-Slayer Rite ▼

The Kin-Slayer Rite
is a ceremony in which the target pet’s kin-bond, level,
and accumulated experience are all returned to zero
in exchange for enhancing its base stats.

A monster that undergoes this rite will gain experience
at a slower rate thereafter.

Grindy but mostly in a good way

Collecting pets to find their secret skills, finding hidden paths and secret bosses, pet arena and Guantlet modes. You’ll always have something to do and always be grinding 3+ different things making this a rewarding game. The biggest flaw is this is a game that wants to be actively running 24/7 even when away. From leaving it running overnight for roughly 3 weeks I have a ridiculous amount of hours on it already and after the newest updated content I’m almost halfway of were I need to be for more the difficult new areas and as this game adds new content with some consistency this gap will only widen. They also sale multiple $20 packs that only slightly change QoL which I guess since they’ve successfully made multiple games already it’s understandable they want to cash out some. Still these guys don’t disappoint and if you have an iPad or a computer you can run it on a lot you can have a lot of fun building you character up.

Potentially great

I’m a real person who stumbled upon this game through YouTube shorts. I never write reviews on any mobile games, however, this one has serious potential. There’s a lot going for it, but, there’s unfortunately a lot of work that needs to be done: *The UI could use a lot of work. Looks bare bones and is possibly already being polished behind the scenes. No clue. *The lack of descriptions for stats is disappointing. For example, I genuinely have no idea what luck does. Sure, I can assume it boosts drop rate, pet capture rate, crit rate, and hit chance. But, it’s horrible not being able to read into it at all. Does INT power up staves and spells or just one of the two? Looks like staves don’t even use magic so I’m assuming that they’re strengthened by just upgrading attack. Descriptions on each stat would be greatly appreciated and beneficial to everyone. *In my 10 hours, I only found 2 books to reallocate my stat points, and that isn’t enough to experiment. I hit level 100 and now I’m stuck on this save file because I can’t buy any new equipment or reallocate my stat points. The item vendor who sells the life potions would be a great place to sell the reallocation books instead of making them a microtransaction like you already have. *Defeating a major boss seems to unlock another set of armor, and a couple new weapons. Would like to see them also drop gear and have a normal respawn time like the other mobs. Vendor gear should serve the purpose of getting you to the boss. Farming out sets and weapons/accessories would be a lot cooler than spending gold. *I don’t know why there’s only like 2 save points and they don’t even act as checkpoints. If you die, you respawn in town. Feels like the save points were just overlooked as you were designing the levels. *the zones feel large and empty with strange enemy scaling and placement. I can’t count how many times I was destroying an area and then suddenly stumble upon a slightly higher leveled enemy and got one shot out of nowhere. Bosses seem to be a lot worse about this since either you have enough defense/magical defense or you don’t. The lack of checkpoints/teleporting made it more painful than enjoyable. It’s especially bad when you unlock the portal and have to run through the giant desert for at least 2 minutes before reaching the underground boss….which was comically overpowered for my bricked character. There’s also no guidance on if I can reset back to level 1 and gain any sort of power boost or if I’m just stuck. Feels like I have no choice but to start over or wait for updates. *The pets have almost no benefit to summoning them besides getting them to level 31 for their passive buffs. Even if your pet out levels its enemies by 50+ levels, it can still be one shot in a 1v1 depending on the pet. *Lastly, I would love to see ranged weapons and their own stats. Str, dexterity, and Int for swords, bows, and wands/staves. Hope the developer(s) read this constructive feedback and find it helpful. Thank you and I hope you have a great Christmas everyone!

Brand new game

As the title indicates, this is a very new game with limited content and a lot of issues. But, that doesnt necessarily take away from the positives. It is fun. Dev updates multiple times a week which indicates theyre polishing out the problems. Highly recommend downloading and supporting.

Good game ... wondering if one little thing is an error

I wonder if one of the trades in the Elf Village is supposed to be the other way around. I am fortunate to play another good RPG from Ponix.
