This is a plain simple set of virtual Square Dance Checkers (some call them Dolls) that can be moved around by multi-touch, and rotated by double-tap.
Square Dance Checkers are usually small plastic or metal chips that can be moved around on a table top to help demonstrate or figure out where individual dancers should go and which direction they should face, in their square, during execution of a (usually Western) Square Dance call.
I found out that I needed to bring some square dance checkers to a square dance callers school I was attending later in the day. Looked and found out that the cats had got into and scattered all my sets of square dance checkers. (I found a head man checker with a #4/corner doll hiding behind the cat box. Maybe some of the others moved to Florida...) So I wrote this app. An iPad checker emulator. A couple other students in the callers school wanted a copy. So here it is.
Nothing fancy. This app includes no Square Dance call definitions, no databases, no animations, no automations, not even magnets on the back are included. Just plain manually movable checker symbols.
Double-tap to quarter-turn a dancer clockwise (or to their Right).
Hold the CCW button to rotate the entire formation 90 degrees counter-clockwise; or just tap the button to rotate the last move checker.
There's a slide-out panel on the left, with buttons for Dancers-Go-Home, Align-to-maybe-some-grid, Snapshot-current-position, Back-History, Forward-History, and Info/About.
