Update: 4 Stars! *Spoilers

Original Title: 3.5 Stars, 99% complete.. but not quite! Original Review: Contrary to one particular review, I feel as if the last level was brilliant. You are tasked with having to memorize the "world" by means of turning on a light switch prior to starting said world. I was both pleased and excited at the developer's decision to require the player to do this if he or she is determined to send Rez home. In addition, I did like the graphics and artwork. As minimal as they are, I wouldn't compare them to something out of the stone ages of gaming nor would I change them. The one thing I would change? The game grants you three each of three kinds of power ups(slo-mo, ghost, and a skip function). However, it would be nice to open the app every 24 hours with at least one of each power up. I always have and always will disagree with micro transactions. Not giving the player ten of each power up impedes everyone from full completion of this game. Achievements are important to some people and forcing them to pay to complete this game in it's entirety should be against the law(s). Keep in mind this is my opinion and I know some will sympathize with developers having to pay for something in an otherwise free experience. Just not this guy! Ironically the developer just released an update for the app which did not rectify this is issue. I was saddened to see it did not. Wrapping up, I just wanted to say thank you Spiel Studios for your time and efforts. I enjoyed your game. Overall, a decent time killer. Update(May 2015): Let me start off by saying I really do appreciate the latest update by the very friendly and professional developer, Spiel Studios. Although still not perfect, the latest update brings a crucial change to a Power-Up feature of the game, allowing for an opportunity to earn more Ghost Power-Ups. A good benefit for those looking to progress towards 100% completion of the game. The negative, however, is that the Skip Power-Up has been left out in the dark. Once all three of these Power-Ups are used up, the player is still forced to hit the ole' Transactions-R-Us, wallet open and money in hand, in order to replenish them. It would seem the developer had good intentions but wound up holding back. If you are considering that extra mile/kilometer for the customer, why not just go that extra mile/kilometer? Go there and go beyond! To be fair though, its's not my decision! From the developer's business standpoint, I admit I understand the logic here. Regardless, if I am speaking fairly, it's just another road block for the completionist. With that said, I am reluctant to accept the decisions brought about by the latest update. The saving graces of my gripe are as follows: The game is indeed fun! Both, from a challenging standpoint and game concept. Entertaining game? It certainly is! It plays great and the controls are well suited. On a side-note, the developer is responsive when contacted. Good communication is always appreciated so put another plus in my book! With all of these things considered, the game's positives do add up. Before concluding this review, however, I must address the one original gripe I continue to have with Galaxy Run, replay value. Developers may think their works will be forgotten or go away if the player is given all the necessary tools up front or ahead of time but I respectfully disagree. I would prefer everything at my disposable to continue playing Galaxy Run, working on those clearance times, and just downright enjoying myself. As the game stands right now, I am going to quickly reach the very same point I was at in my initial review. Uninterested in improving those in-game scores. Goals I would normally have and take part in without hesitation. Sooner than later, I will find myself no longer with the need to play. I am not alone here when I say I would rather be pressing on with that must continue mind-set. Enjoyment will always be fulfilled when I can re-do levels "just one more try", aiming for that better score! For what the game means to me, the genre(s) it resides in, and everything else considered, Galaxy Run is a satisfying 4 stars! The potential is there and I would love to see more improvements made to the game because it is certainly nearing that solid 5, but still not quite. Thank you again Spiel Studios and to all who took the time to read this review. Sorry if anyone has taken offense to anything contained within. Admittedly, it is easier to write a review that is mostly subjective although some content may be considered as objectively speaking. P.S. I refuse to believe I am the minority here when I say I liked the Slo-Mo Power-Up very much! Please consider resurrection of that cool little feature! Thank you!
