About HKcBirds: Common Birds of HK
The first cross-platform bird information app in Hong Kong that allows you to access multimedia information of common birds of Hong Kong for free.
The App "HKcBirds: Common Birds of Hong Kong" is jointly developed by Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, under the project titled "Birds of Hong Kong in Your Hands" supported by the HKU Knowledge Exchange Fund.

* Over 200 bird species seen in Hong Kong
* Over 600 photographs taken in Hong Kong
* Over 50 bird calls
* Bird call visualization by waveform and spectrogram
* Internet connection is not needed for information access
* Supports English and Traditional Chinese
* Can search birds by their common names, scientific names and other names
* Can filter bird list by family, IUCN status, principal status, habitat and size
* Can sort bird list by their common names, family names, scientific names and taxonomic order
* General tips and information about bird watching
* Ad-free
*** Note that the app contains hundreds of media files and is large in size (about 820 MB). It does not require an Internet connection to access its database. Enough storage space is therefore required.
