A Vernon Area Public Library card is required for some services. Any resident or business in the Vernon Area Public Library District (VAPLD) is eligible to register for a free library card. The Vernon Area Public Library District includes all of Lincolnshire, Prairie View, and portions of Long Grove, Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, and unincorporated Vernon and Ela townships in Illinois.
