The XChange Data app is a data and internet access service provided by Marlink.
XChange Data simplifies your access to the mobile XChange user interface to manage your data communication via satellite.
Once ‘online’ you can use your preferred apps like email, Whatsapp, Facebook and so on.
Monitor and control your satellite data usage in real time.
To secure your prepaid credit, the XChange mobile environment disconnects you automatically after 2 hours of usage (default). Ask your on board administrator if you would like to extend the duration.

The worst app in the history of apps!
As I am writing this I am trying to get this app to work again because it somehow just stopped working. Every time I tapped on the app I just got the Marlink logo screen with the slogan; “connect smarter, everywhere”. Oh the irony! They should put ‘else’ behind it. Anyway that screen was on for a while and then it just closed. We used to have a ticket system onboard which worked a lot better! Now you constantly have to log back in, even if you are logged on already, you don’t know if you are actually connected or not, many times you get disconnected……well all have been said in the other reviews already. So Marlink people, it looks like that you guys got some work to do!

Worst app
This is the worst app I’ve ever used, and ISP. It never will remember my username or password. Constantly disconnects everyday, app always freezes up, I’m lucky if I can send a text message out. I’ve worked on ships/boats for 20yrs and dial up was more reliable than marlink.
