The project "Immersive Reality and Technological Innovation of Astroturism" is an initiative executed by Brecha Digital Consultores in conjunction with the Regional Government of Coquimbo and the Central University of Chile, thanks to the Innovation Fund for Regional Competitiveness, FIC-R year 2016.
The application transports users through the immersive reality to Mamalluca, in this virtual tour through Mamalluca you can visit the Nicolás Copernicus building, where the multimedia exhibition room, a small cafeteria, souvenir sales room and the terrace of Observation Astronomy II, with four 16-inch MEADE manual telescopes. Next, the Juan Francisco Cortes building has a Main Dome where you can see the stars, the Moon, the planets such as Saturn and its rings or Jupiter and its 16 moons, and the
different constellations, through the 12-inch digital telescope donated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA). A conference room and the terrace of Astronomy I, with three 12-inch ORION manual telescopes.
Located in the city of Vicuña, it is recognized as the World Capital of Astronomy and in it are the best places for astronomical observation, both for its geographical conditions and for its climatic conditions.
