In the Dharani Sutra of Great Compassion, the Buddha told Venerable Ananda: "If it is a mantra, there are various names: a great perfection, an unobstructed great compassion, a salvation dharani, a longevity dharani, and an evil spirit. Dharani, a dharani who breaks evil karma, a dharani with full wish, a dharani at ease, and a dharani with speed over ten."
The name of this mantra expresses the great compassion of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's desire for happiness and benefit of all living beings, without hindrance and great compassion, and this mantra can not only eliminate all disasters and all evil karma, but also achieve all good methods and fulfill one's wishes. Away from all fears, Ted, the mighty god who quickly climbs to the Buddhaland. Today's people are named after the abbreviation of "Great Compassion Mantra", which is named after Guanyin Bodhisattva's great compassion aspiration power of being compassionate to all beings.
This curse was proclaimed by the Buddhas of the past 9.9 billion Ganges Sand Tribulation. Later, when King Thousand Lights stayed still in the pure land of Tathagata, King Thousand Lights stayed still in Tathagata to teach Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva "Broad Consummation without Obstruction and Great Compassion Dharani", and Said to him: "Good men, you should hold this mantra and do great joy for all sentient beings in the evil world in the future." At that time, after listening to this mantra, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva ascended from Chudi Bodhisattva to the eighth unmoving Bodhisattva status. So my heart happily made a vow: "Assuming that I will be able to benefit all living beings in the coming life, I will have a thousand hands, a thousand eyes, and fullness." After making this vow, it really suddenly gave birth to a thousand hands, a thousand eyes, and ten directions. The earth shook for it, and all the Buddhas in the ten directions gave out immeasurable light, illuminating the boundless world of the ten directions.
