Kurban (Arabic: قربان, translit. Qurban) which means close or bringing closer or also called Udhhiyah or Dhahiyyah literally means animal to be slaughtered. Meanwhile, sacrificial worship is one of the worships of followers of the Islamic religion, by slaughtering livestock to be offered to Allah. The sacrificial ritual is carried out in the month of Zulhijah on the Islamic calendar, namely on the 10th (Eid al-Adha), and the 11th, 12th and 13th (Tasyrik day).
In the Qur'an, there are two incidents where the sacrificial ritual was performed, namely by Qabil and Habil (two sons of the Prophet Adam), and when the Prophet Abraham was about to sacrifice Prophet Isma'il at the command of Allah.
