About West Side Transport
How nice would it be to be able to communicate with dispatch or your driver manager without having to be in the actual truck? Now you can send and receive messages from dispatch, send and receive loads, preplans and confirm with dispatch. Also put in arrival and departure times and pickup activity. View each stop along the route on the map with fuel stops within each load. Show current location weather and forecast. Videos from safety training, dispatch or company updates. Also take advantage of West Side Transport driver referral program by referring other drivers.

My experience thus far.
Thought westside would be a good fit for me. Finish up my career in trucking. What brought me here is the mid- night start four days a week. Thursday through Sunday. I’ve worked 3 days after noons. What I believe is the worst shift. Been in 2 different trunks. Both had mechanical issues. Engine light and triangle light when I got In trucks. Had them booth checked out before leaving. Costing me time that I didn’t have. Seeing that the traffic was going the delay me anyway. Oh well I tried doing what you wanted me to do. If drivers cant do their job and make sure a truck is drivable for the next driver. Is not going to be tolerated. To sum it up if I don’t get what I signed up for I’ll be looking for another job. Been in trucking for 25 years and did ford for 12 of them with CWS. I hated it. Worst drivers I’ve come across. I don’t want to finish my career for a company out of Glenwood that can’t keep driver’s rolling. Because of mechanical issues or driver issues. Hope things will get better. But what I’ve seen these past few days is not excitable. Using drivers to get the job done. Plus always having to cover for a call off. Once a driver starts doing what ever for some dispatchers seems to be the norm here. Don’t want to start that. Been used up in the past. I feel like your a very good company to work for On Paper.
