The predecessor is a better game
This game works well as a companion to the original chef wars. This game lacks playable substance and therefore has been misnamed. “Chef quiz”or “tap a chef”would have been more appropriate. It’s predecessor had more thought put into it. It had a story and actual food battles with competing chefs. You needed the right ingredients, the right recipe for the location and region you are competing in. I especially thought the annual cheffy award ceremonies were very cleverly integrated into the story and game play. There’s more going on in the predecessor. There’s more challenge. This is bland and dry. Like I said a functioning companion app with a brain tease, but not much of a game.
