About Wildfire Analyst Pocket
WFA Pocket enables the wildland fire community with a powerful analytical tool that is designed to be used in the field. The app works either connected or disconnected, providing outputs and results in a form that is readily understood and usable.
Proven Science With Robust Technology: The Science Behind WFA Pocket
WFA Pocket uses concepts and formulas developed by the US Forest Service Missoula Fire Sciences Lab to perform fire behavior calculations. It is a culmination of the wonderful science made possible by the work of applied wildfire scientists and wildland firefighters across the world. WFA Pocket compiles knowledge gained from the five-plus decades of applied research on wildfire behavior, and is intended to serve as a companion to the Fire Behavior Field Reference Guide (PMS 437).
Technosylva acknowledges the outstanding research conducted by the Missoula Fire Sciences Lab, the Rocky Mountain Research Station, and the many other scientists and practitioners who have pioneered much of this science.
WFA Pocket is a mobile simpler edition of Wildfire Analyst™. WFA provides real-time analysis of wildfire behavior and simulates the spread of wildfires. Behavior analysis and simulations are completed in seconds, providing results that afford timely decision making.
For wildland fire, time is of the essence, and Wildfire Analyst was specifically architected to support initial attack situations, giving the Fire Chief and Incident Commander the critical intelligence needed to support suppression and resource allocation.

Simple, looks trash, but if It wasn’t like that I wouldn’t understand
Quick conclusion: it is very simple and easy to use and should be used by real firefighters. If you want to get a really good simulation of a fire, use this to help you. Main review: It has very simple simulation which I don’t really like, but it is very good for an app with 11 reviews and I hope it gets updated to be a bit more accurate. Please continue this app since it seems very fun. If you want me to I can sponsor this app on my 27 subscribers channel for 1¢! I have been looking for an app like this and I finally found it so thank you for making it! This seems like the type of app real fire fighters use to not use too much water to control a fire, and especially after the Palisades, Eaton, Hueges, and the fires in Arizona, fire fighter should be using this app in the future! This may not simulate fires correctly but it will help someone simulate a fire correctly by themselves.

Educational
Not part of the firefighters family, but find this app very educational regarding wildfires and the various factors that effect its spread.
