How does the key exchange service work?
- Open the App and sign up for free using your email or Airbnb account
- Find your nearest KeyNest Store, normally a few minutes walk near your property
- Select the KeyNest store to reserve your spot at the KeyNest Store
- Use the drop off code to drop off your keys at the Store
- Send the collection code to your guests and let them check-in whenever they want
- You will be notified by email when the keys are collected
How much does it cost?
A few euros / dollars / pounds per week for unlimited key collections. One-time use also available. There is no set up fee and you can cancel anytime.

Typically a 24/7 shop around the corner. In many countries we also have 24/7 automated lockers outside, or inside a shop with long opening times. These Stores are carefully selected for their location and reliable opening times, and trained to always be welcoming to your guests.

Using KeyNest to track keys in the office
Keeping track of a large number of keys in the office can be difficult without the right tools. In fact, the average estate agent spends thousands every year on replacing lost keys.
This app puts you in control of your keys, so you’ll never lose them again.
How does KeyNest keep track of keys?
First, attach a smart RFID fobs to each set of keys. The chip inside runs without a battery using the same contactless technology as debit cards. The fob can be customised for your brand, or your can use the standard KeyNest fobs.
Then, ask your staff to simply tap the fob on the app every time you take any keys in / our of the office. We automatically mark the keys out in your name and will send you a reminder to return them if you forget. This is way more effective than using pegs, as you’ll always know who’s got each key.
The app also lets you log keys to tenants, contractors and chase them automatically using sms if they forget to return them, using a customisable message. It remembers all your office’s contacts, so you never had to enter contact details twice.
Our app is so simple to use, you don’t need to provide any training. Our speed onboarding feature lets you get up and running with KeyNest by just uploading a spreadsheet and you’re ready to go!
