Among my favorite memories as a child are the nights my mom would spend an extra few minutes to tell us a story. It made me feel warm, comforted and safe.
Later, when I had my own children, I wanted to pass along that same wonderful feeling. But I didn’t always have time. So I was always on the lookout for a great collection of short stories that I could read in just a few minutes.
When I ran out of the stories I could find, I started writing them myself. I teamed up with my good friend Zach Clough to bring each story to life with illustrations. Together we created a collection of rhyming stories that are fun to read, and hopefully create a little wonder.
Some are longer. Some are shorter. For the most part, they are just the right length to start some wonder and spark a daydream. Perfect for bedtime, you can always read a short one when time is tight, or a long one or two when there is plenty of time.
I was thrilled when my son came to me with the idea to create an app that would make them easy to read wherever we go. This is that app. He did a great job.
This app includes a collection of rhyming stories you can read, favorite and share. There’s even a coloring book that let’s you add your own personal touch to Zach’s illustrations. You can save them or share them to your friends, too.
There are more stories to buy when you are ready to add to your collection or grow your library of short stories to read to your own children.
My children love these stories as much as I enjoy writing them, and I hope you do, too.
