About Exercises to Reduce Pain

Exercise is an effective treatment for chronic pain.
While medical treatments and physical therapy are vital components of managing chronic pain symptoms, increased physical activity as a daily habit can increase quality of life.

Stretching and yoga are often valuable exercises for the improvement of chronic pain. Maintaining good posture, gentle stretching and relaxation exercises are helpful pain-reduction tools to incorporate into a daily routine.

Strength training can significantly ease chronic pain and benefit a person’s overall health. Workouts that use free weights or resistance machines are helpful for balanced strength training. Starting slowly and building strength gradually is important to prevent injury.

You can’t beat free

Alright so I’ve never left a review on an app before but this one doesn’t have any yet so I feel I should. I want to preface this by saying this app is about as basic as it gets. Home page with 6 different options, time that shows the exercises, and small completion screen. I’m normally someone who likes fancy graphics and cute little encouraging animals but I think this is an exception. As someone with chronic pain, finding exercises that work for me is extremely difficult and these fit the bill. Definitely the best thing about the app is that all the exercises are free. Granted, you do have to watch a 30 second ad, but every other exercise app made you put in a ton of personal information just to tell you at the end you needed to pay to use it. I frankly believe that should be illegal. This app doesn’t ask for any personal information and doesn’t require you to pay, although you can if you no longer want to watch ads. If you’re looking for something simple, free, and/or organized this is the app for you.
