Online system was better
Children should be exempt from photo biometric verification requirements. My daughter's POC card photo was taken when she was only one month old. She is now seven years old and naturally looks completely different. When trying to cancel her POC and apply for a NICOP, the system requires photo verification to surrender the POC. However, the verification fails because her current appearance does not match the photo taken when she was a newborn. It is unreasonable to expect a seven-year-old child to look the same as they did at one month old. Because of this issue, we are being forced to visit the consulate and spend additional money on travel and related expenses. There should be an alternative verification process for children to avoid unnecessary hardship for families.
