About RTC-OnDemand
How it works:
- Paratransit customers living in the RTC-OnDemand zone can call or book their same-day ride on the mobile app and travel within the zone or anywhere in the overall RTC service area.
- Non-paratransit customers can book their ride on the mobile app and travel within the RTC-OnDemand zone, including businesses, residences and/or an RTC bus stop to transfer to travel outside of the RTC-OnDemand zone.
RTC-OnDemand is an extension of the RTC’s current residential transit system with the current zone servicing the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley and West Henderson. Service is available daily from 4 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. and costs the same as RTC transit fares, starting at $2 for fixed-route and $3 for paratransit customers. For a list of fares, visit: https://www.rtcsnv.com/ways-to-travel/fares-passes/
Vehicles are ADA-friendly and seat up to 12 passengers and are equipped with free WiFi and three bike racks.

Good, could be better
Main reasons why it’s a good app, you can get a ride wherever for 2 bucks and call it a day. However, what I don’t like is when you schedule a ride, and for some reason it’s delayed, it could take over 30 minutes for you to be picked up. When you have work, that’s simply not an option. It’s not right to wait over 30 minutes when it’s a scheduled pick up time, and let’s say you cancel it, if you cancels rides too often due to this then they limit how many you can book in a week. How’s that fair to the rider? Other than that, the app is easy to use and the drivers themselves are great people. Maybe buses should have more maintenance so it’s easier for both the drivers and rider.

Not impressed
While it can be a convenient option, The cons typically outweigh the pros and can quickly. It should be called “RTC book 5 days in advance” vs “RTC on Demand” because if you do NOT book ahead of time you simply will not get a ride. It’s ridiculous, not only is it super hard to even get a ride the pick up and drop off times are so inconsistent. you will either be picked up 10 minutes too early or 20 minutes late there is no in between. Drivers are alright, but will pick up up 2 to 3 passangers during your trip which will inevitably make you late. This wouldn’t be an issue but i think it’s insane how people who get on the bus AFTER you will be dropped off BEFORE YOU. this could be a revolutionary app if they actually cared enough to make these changes. But who knows
