Not for tourists
You need a Mexican phone number to register. You cannot use cash or credit card on bus. Your only option is to get a bus card and buses do not sell them. They are extremely difficult to find. The barrier to public transportation is very high in Mérida. They have a ways to go to catch up with other modern Mexican cities.

The e ticket works but when you need to add more passengers on it it doesn’t give you the option to add or subtract which is a inconvenience when traveling with multiple people
