Feels like it’s still in beta
App is very clunky. The room queue editing and map navigation are surprisingly limited, like the developer hasn’t used a smart phone post 2007 or, maybe just forgot to add functionality altogether in the rush to get the product out the door. The robot itself has a lot of potential, but it has a long way to go before its unique qualities can be considered true assets.

Not too smart
No HomeKit, SmartThings, home assistant or matter support. No iOS shortcuts support. All other robot vacuums have this basic level of feature/support.

Fantastic App and Product
Matic is a product that works as advertised! The app is polished, intuitive, and well thought out. Setting Matic up was simple, and it is now such a joy to watch Matic effortlessly navigate obstacles around the house in real time. So appreciate the Company’s commitment to data privacy and regular software updates as well. All in all, Matic is a tremendous product; could not recommend enough!

Matic is incredible
Bought a second one for my office. Highly polished app for the product being so new. One small gripe, battery drain is pretty heavy. I get it’s doing a lot but for people who spend a lot of time on the app watching it go around, it drains fast! Also when selecting spot clean, having to tap the pencil is a redundant step and a bit of friction that could be reduced by auto selecting it. I get you all still want to let users pan around, but 99% of the time you already are hovering over the area you want to clean.

Mogs the roomba

Worth Every Penny
I love my Matic. Positives: + I can see where Matic is currently located in my house. + This app is fantastic and easy to navigate; I’ve even used the “go here” feature as a pseudo courier — carrying small items (empty dinner plate, drinks, snacks, etc.) to other rooms/people. + The app tells me what stage of cleaning Matic is currently at and shows a progress bar with an ETA. Negatives: - My phone gets very hot if the app is left open for more than 5 minutes. - Upon opening the app, UI elements rejigger for half a second. I’m not confident in this assumption, but it feels like everything is custom designed instead of relying on Swift UI/UX which, I think, would result in a smoother experience. Wish List: ★ Dark mode. ★ Let me double tap and slide up/down on the map in order to zoom in/out à la iOS’ Maps[.]app. ★ The app should show how long Matic has been cleaning in addition to its ETA. ★ The app should show the duration of previous jobs in addition to the start/stop time. ★ There should be battery management (show capacity %, show cycle count, set charge limit, optimize charging, set clean energy charge times). I’m curious how/if I’ll replace its battery in the (hopefully) long future.

On boarding is smooth. Easy to use, it creates the 3d map of 2 bhk unit quickly within 2 minutes. We feel like we have a cute helper at home like a pet

Life is so much easier
My Matic robot has made my life so much easier. I can’t say enough good things about it and the company over all. The app does what it needs to do. I enjoy the simple functionality of it. I don’t have worry about app glitches every just WORKS.

At first glance, a cut above iRobot. Super easy & no getting stuck!
Recently received my Matic device and can say it is a step up from the s9+ competitor device I babysat all the time. It's mapped and vacuumed for about a week and had zero issues getting stuck or needing intervention and it does it so so silently compared to any competitor I've seen, so quiet it can operate at night while everyone is sleeping! My s9+ makes a ton of noise. Speed is also impressive, accurate mapping of 2500sq ft of my main floor happens in minutes, also best in class that I've seen. My only critical comments so far on its operation are (1) bags are very small and fill up in just a few days with pets around the house (2) because of its height it leaves small eves in your furniture and cabinetry untouched. It has a corner brush but it doesn't do the job well.This is particularly of concern in a busy family kitchen. It also can't vacuum under your bed for you--too tall. (3) Supplies are limited to manufacturer only stuff so far, would like to see aftermarket options and easier sourcing via a large e-tailer or two. Time will tell whether this thing holds up and is durable, serviceable. First impressions count and I LOVE the device so far, big improvement over the device I am replacing!
