About Homiletics
Content Summaries: Start by summarizing the text in 10-20 chunks. This step encourages us to capture the key points and themes of the scripture passage, focusing only on what is explicitly stated. The goal is to understand the text as it is, without interpretation.
Dividing the Text: Break the passage into natural sections based on shifts in theme, context, or action, typically 2-4 per passage. This step helps us identify the structure of the scripture and highlight its major points or transitions.
Summary Sentence: Create a concise sentence that distills the primary message of the passage. This step forces us to think critically about the core meaning of the text, boiling it down to its essential idea.
Fallen Condition Focus: What is the problem with humanity that is most clearly addressed here? This step helps us identify the most important message/truth for us to take away.
Purpose Statement/AIM: Reflect on the intention behind the text. What message or purpose does the passage serve? This step helps us focus on the bigger picture of the scripture and its intended takeaway.
Personal Application Questions: Finally, explore how the passage applies to your life. This step is deeply personal, encouraging us to think about actionable insights from the scripture and how its message can influence their daily actions, decisions, and mindset.

I appreciate it.
I use it and like it. Now scripture is on the left side, making it split the screen down the middle vertically. I preferred it horizontally because I could see both the questions and scripture clearly. I wish there was an option to choose to put it back.

Excellent for BSF…and in general for Bible study.
I am a Teaching Leader in BSF and love this app. I have recommended it to all my leaders. The iPad version is awesome. I haven’t much used the phone version but a friend of mine loves it. While excellent, I can think of two ways to improve it. 1. Offer more translations…particularly adding NIV, NKJV, NLT would be helpful. (NIV would be most helpful) 2. Offer fields for Principles and applications for each division. I have overcome this by just adding more divisions and using P1 or P2 ..and etc as titles to delineate that they are principles for those divisions. Thanks so much for making this! Hebrews 6:10!
