In this practice it is possible to carry out the synthesis of 2-ethylhexanonitrile used in the manufacture of ceramics. To carry out the synthesis, 2-ethylhexanamine and phosphorus pentoxide are available. The simulator recreates a chemistry laboratory with a reaction balloon, a condenser, refrigeration hoses, and a thermometer, among other instruments and supplies necessary to carry out the synthesis.
