About Bicycle Gear Ratio App
The gear calculator displays:
- number of gears,
- all combinations of given gearing system,
- gear ratio,
- gear inches and gear meters,
- speed (mph and km/h),
- comparison between different gearing systems.
Wheels and tyre size can be chosen out of given list. There is a blank field RPM that you must fill out with revolutions per minute. Next you must choose number of chainrings and fill them out with chainring size. Last you must choose number of cogs in the cassette. You can fill out blank fields manually or can choose one out of given list - you can also customize it.
You can compare gearing systems by clicking 'ADD BICYCLE' button and fill out the form.

It’s fine. Could be better.
It has plenty of options for chainring and cog combinations. It provides amble ways of reading the ratios. What it doesn’t do is allow you to save your chainring-cluster combination for later reference. Each time you open the app you must renter your numbers. If your set up isn’t one of those in the standard list included in the app, then you must type in each chainring and cog separately. Being able to save bike set ups for later reference would make this a much better reference, especially since it already allows you to compare multiple bikes at once, provided you enter complete information for each.
