Buyer Beware
Pros: This is a solid service if you’re willing to pay a premium for in-depth testing. I found the results informative and genuinely useful, and I’ve already made adjustments to my diet and lifestyle based on certain findings. While my doctor was only moderately impressed, we did take action by ordering new bloodwork through her office to confirm and compare results. Overall, this service works well as a baseline snapshot of your health. Cons: First, test results cannot be transferred directly from the app or website to a healthcare provider’s system. The only option is to export the data as a PDF, which is cumbersome and impractical. My doctor simply does not have the time to comb through pages of unlinked data that can’t be easily compared to her own records—and frankly, I agree. Second, you cannot cancel auto-renewal directly through the app or website. When I tried, I was routed to a chatbot called “Function Concierge.” I clearly stated that I wanted to keep my current subscription but cancel auto-renewal. The response only explained how to cancel entirely. Since I am halfway through my year, canceling outright would mean losing the follow-up testing included in the original price. I tried rephrasing the request multiple ways and even texted the provided number, but received the same unhelpful response each time. As a result, I now have to mark my calendar to remember to cancel at the exact end of the subscription period. This feels like a deliberately frustrating and unnecessary process. While I had planned to turn off auto-renewal—not rule out renewing in the future—the difficulty alone has convinced me otherwise. I won’t be spending hundreds of dollars again just to get the runaround. Buyer beware.

It’s off to a great start
The app and concept are great. One thing I’m not too happy about is that I am unable to easily copy the good/bad foods for me and use them to personalize meal plans. If they would be able to put together meal plans and recipe ideas this app would be 5/5
